Idle Moments

A long exposure photograph of a person moving over several seconds. Their movement was 'motion-captured' and used to animate simple gepoemtric forms that were then projected onto a black screen with a laser.

Uncertain Outcomes

These stills are very high resolution renders, adapted from the software used to create the realtime video version of 'A State of Uncertainty'

I ran the software at a 10k resolution and hit the 'save image' button every time I saw an image I liked. After collecting about a hundred images, I whittled them down to these ones.

Laser Photograms

Photograms exposed onto 20″ x 24″ Fibre-based photographic paper. 

Created in a darkroom using a laser, custom software and improvised hand gestures

Reduced Forms

Taking 3d models of classical sculptures and reducing their information until they become only barely recognisable as human forms. Exploring the point between figurative and abstract representation.

Audio Laser Drawings

Using simple audio synthesiser techniques to draw shapes in space over time. Using hand gestures, a laser and long-exposure photography to create improvised abstract forms.
