Site-specific installation at Victoria Hall, Leeds Town Hall in collaboration with Robert Thomas.
Sixteen Kinekt Lasers, LED uplighters, 6m x 4m Aluminium Box Truss Arch with rigging. PC with Beyond laser control software. PC with custom software. Orgamat MIDI organ players. PA System. Mac Laptop with custom software.
A site-specific version of On Your Wavelength, created for Leeds Light Night at Leeds Town Hall in collaboration with composer Robert Thomas.
Participants stood on stage in front of the monumental Pipe Organ and controlled a music and laser composition using their brain activity via an EEG headset.
A truss arch was suspended in front of the organ with sixteen lasers mounted on it.
Additional lighting uplit the organ itself.
The pipe organ was controlled via two Orgamats, special devices with MIDI-controlled fingers placed onto the organ keyboards.
The evenings turned into impromtu 'karaoke' sessions, with a single person on stage controlling the installation, while an audience looked on and applauded from the stalls.
