A light and music composition controlled by brain activity from an EEG headset.
Created in a railway arch close to London Bridge, visitors stood in a circular aperture wearing an EEG headset. They were asked to think of one particular thought or image. As they concentrated, the music and laser reacted to their brain activity, amplifying these tiny electrical signals to epic proportions.
The project was originally intended to look at how our intimate data is acquired by tech companies in return for visceral experiences, but as the installation continued, it became clear that the instruction to concentrate on a single thought and the installation's reaction to them had a powerful emotional effect.
