On Your Wavelength (Canary Wharf)
Installation at Canary Wharf Winter Lights 2017 & 2018
Thirty-two aluminium frames, Addressable RGB LED tape, Power supplies and control equipment.
Apple Laptop and PC with custom software, EEG Headset, Stage lighting.
A light and music composition controlled by brain activity from an EEG headset.
Installed in an empty subterranean retail unit in Canary Wharf, visitors stood at the end of an array of square frames, lined with LED pixel strips.
Visitor's brain activity controlled a generative music and light composition in three short movements. An explanatory video is below.
The form was suggested by de Harak and Branston's 127 John St Neon Tunnel in New York, which I visited as a child.
